Brian Chambers - Wildlife Research Blog
There are a lot of species of wildlife in Australia that we know very little about. Generally we know a fair bit about the mammals, particularly those that live in the more temperate parts of the continent and so are close to where the majority of people live and work. Reptiles, birds, amphibians and invertebrates we tend to know far less about because they are harder to study, and aren’t so charismatic, so it’s harder to get people excited about them. There are some exceptions to this though and a little while ago I was working with a team trying to catch and relocate one such species.
